Kazuri Beads Pendant Plum Red Stainless Chain

Here is another Kazuri Bead Pendant. Kazuri Beads are made in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa The company has been in business for almost 40 years providing jobs for 350 local women. Each bead is handmade from clay, painted and fired. Each color requires a separate firing. Over the years the beads have been perfected to compete world wide to suit every fashion in every country for every season. Each lady will learn all steps involved in making these beads including how to make each shape. These beads are Fair Trade beads and sold worldwide, thus providing for the welfare of the families. "Kasuri" is Swahili for "small and beautiful".

Each piece of jewelry I make with these Kazuri beads will have a minimum of 2 Kazuri beads used. My daughter brought me back a bag of Kaszuri beads after getting a tour of the facility when she visited Africa summer '13. I am keeping the cost down on this jewelry so more people will be able to enjoy owning and wearing the jewelry.

This pendant measures about 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It consists of 2 Kazuri beads. The pendant is on a stainless steel chain. I attempted to purchase more of these beads in the USA. I could only locate 2 distributors of these beads and they are sold individually and can cost up to $80 for a single bead. There is not another pendant like this in the world I can assure you.
